Friday Nights Sound Better in Summit
Downtown Summit’s live music continues into fall with the September edition of Summit Street Sounds. Every Friday evening from 5–8 PM, musicians perform throughout downtown, giving the start of the weekend a soundtrack of its own.
Make an evening of it with dinner at Felina Summit before or after exploring downtown, then head back upstairs to the Albion without worrying about the trip home.
Sunday at the Summit Farmers Market
The Summit Farmers Market continues throughout September every Sunday from 8 AM–1 PM. Now in its 33rd season, the market features New Jersey farmers, food producers and local purveyors in downtown Summit.
September is an especially good time to visit as late-summer produce begins giving way to the flavors of early fall. For an overnight guest, it also makes an easy Sunday morning addition before brunch, a walk downtown or a relaxed afternoon at Albion.
Celebrate Fiesta Latina at the Village Green
On Friday, September 18, Summit celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with its annual Fiesta Latina at the Village Green.
Beginning at 6:30 PM, the evening features musical and dance performances, Latin food trucks and cultural demonstrations. Its downtown location makes it easy to incorporate into a September stay at the Albion, with Felina Summit nearby for dinner or drinks.
A Family Afternoon with Frank Moyo at the Albion
On Saturday, September 19 at 1 PM, the Albion Living Room welcomes Frank Moyo for a family-friendly afternoon centered around music, storytelling and Italian culture.
Frank will perform live with his acoustic guitar, read from his children’s books, lead an Italian family sing-along and introduce younger guests to a few Italian words along the way. Signed copies of his books will also be available for purchase.

Arts & Cars Takes Over Downtown Summit
One of September’s biggest downtown events arrives Sunday, September 20, when Arts & Cars returns from 10 AM–4 PM.
The event combines the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey’s Arts Festival with Peotter’s Car Show for a full day featuring art, classic cars, live music, complimentary children’s activities and food trucks throughout downtown.
